Applying the Nanotol Fabrics and Leather Protector is incredibly easy. Spray the liquid on the surface until every fiber of the fabric being treated has absorbed the coating and is wet. The only case of too much is if puddles start to form. Too little, if there are lighter spots that aren't soaked.
After application, the fabric only needs to dry. We recommend waiting at least 24 hours.
Safety
Since we work without propellants or other harmful ingredients, the treatment doesn't need to be done outside, nor will you smell the treatment. Just thoroughly dampen the clean fabric once and let it dry. It's that simple.
How long the coating lasts varies from one application to another, depending on the usage level of the fabric or leather. We recommend re-coating when you notice the effect diminishing. If in doubt, this can be tested with some clean water. During the refresh process, missing spots are filled in. However, intact areas do not receive a second layer. You will need significantly less coating than the first time.
After applying the coating, you can rinse treated surfaces under water. Simply use a brush or a cloth to remove the dirt. For example, a shoe can be easily cleaned under a tap without affecting the coating.
Nanotol is an easy-to-clean coating. However, treating fabrics and leather with the Nanotol Textile Protector does not make them waterproof. Since the coating envelops each fiber without sealing the surface like plastic, water can penetrate under higher pressure. The fibers remain dry and the fabric and leather do not get dirty, but water still passes through the gaps.
For example, if you accidentally step into a puddle, you'll stay dry. However, if you stand in it, your socks will eventually get wet.
This can also happen when riding a motorcycle if the rain pressure becomes too high. On the other hand, we have had very good experiences with convertible tops. If in doubt, ask us directly whether we recommend the application.
